If you wanted a single snapshot of where Indian mobility is headed, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo floor delivered it — a sprawling mix of production-ready EVs, ambitious concepts, and everything from foldable e-scooters to flying-taxi dreams.

The headline concepts

Tata showcased the Avinya, built on the JLR-derived EMA platform with a promised range of more than 500km. Skoda turned heads with the Vision 7S, a rugged concept packing an 89kWh battery, a claimed 600km range, and 200kW fast charging. The Lexus LF-ZC made the case for luxury EVs with its slippery aerodynamics, ADAS suite, and AI-powered voice control.

Production EVs you can actually buy

MG Motor brought two striking machines: the Cyberster, an all-electric two-door sports car, and the M9, a premium electric MPV loaded with tech. Chinese giant BYD launched the Sealion 7 with a dual-motor setup, an 82.56kWh battery, and a claimed 567km range.

Beyond cars

The expo's breadth was its real story. Honda displayed the MotoCompacto, a foldable e-scooter with a tiny 0.748kWh battery, while Isuzu's D-Max EV concept previewed a one-ton electric pickup with a 66.9kWh battery and dual-motor AWD producing a combined 175bhp.

From suitcase-sized scooters to commercial pickups, the expo proved India's EV transition is no longer a single-segment story — it is happening everywhere at once.

Several of these concepts are slated to reach production over the next couple of years. We will track each of them as they move from the show stand to the showroom — keep it locked to GaadiMate.
